BS 5839 Overview

Overview of non-domestic (part 1) and domestic (part 6) Fire Detection and Fire Alarm systems.

Covering a little information as to their history and where the British Standards came from, it goes on to explain some of the sections within the Standards, followed by a brief description of the Annex for part 1 and part 6 standards / life protection /property protection and the categories of systems that are available.  Also covered in this session are system components, noise levels, sitting and zones and evacuation procedures.

Target Audience

Those involved in the management, assessment and regulation of fire alarm systems in residential and commercial buildings and venues.
