Our Friends in The North

Xact Training at Fire Safety North

Fire Safety North, Manchester, October 2017.

Xact would like to thank those who took the trouble to visit our stand at the exhibition.

We would also like to express our appreciation to organisers, including Keith Gabriel and Mark Sennett, who offered us an extremely warm welcome and generally did all they could to assist us in getting the most out of what turned out to be a great platform to market our services.

It was lovely to meet fellow fire safety professionals and others who simply wanted to know more about us. Some of you had trained with Xact previously, others were considering doing so.

Numerous enquiries were received from attendees who plainly had a wealth of experience and were looking to develop their skills further by gaining nationally-recognised qualifications. They included auditors, assessors, designers, fire engineers and fire safety managers and Fire Service officers.

In all cases, our team relished the opportunity to chat about the services and training we offer and how they can be tailored further to suit our customers’ needs.

Operations Manager Trevor Norwood said: “It was great to meet so many enthusiastic, intelligent visitors who appreciated the opportunity to discuss quality training products with us. A particular interest in courses for auditors and assessors was expressed which reflects a requirement for improved levels of accountability, professionalism and career paths in the sector.

“This gave us the opportunity to promote our Fire Risk Assessment: Level 4 Certificate in Fire Safety, a national qualification for those who assess fire safety in complex buildings. And also to tell visitors about achieving the qualification via the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) route.

“We also received many inquiries about our new Level 5 Diploma – Fire Engineering Technician. Developed by the Chief Fire Officers Association (CFOA), Xact will be an approved centre for the qualification in partnership with The Institution of Fire Engineers.”

Xact looks forward to visiting Our Friends in The North – Fire Safety North again next year.
